Intervention: Nutrafol Women’s Balance (n = 41).
Methods: Hair assessments were conducted at baseline, 3 months, 6 months and 9 months. Photographs were taken at each visit and graded by an expert for hair attributes (hair growth, overall volume, shine, texture, degree of coverage). Self-assessment questionnaires were also employed to evaluate hair attributes, quality of life and overall wellbeing.
Study Duration: 9 months
Eligibility Criteria:
After 6 months of supplementation with Nutrafol Women’s Balance, a significant improvement in the percentage of subjects with positive hair attributes was identified based on expert grading: overall volume (P<0.01), shine (P<0.005), and texture (P<0.001) were all improved relative to baseline. Continuous improvement in these attributes was observed at the 9 month timepoint. For degree of coverage, a trend towards improvement was observed at 9 months (P = 0.06).
